Vintage San Miguel Mission Wedding

For Vincenta and Brian’s wedding, the couple knew they wanted to plan their reception on Brian's family vineyard in Paso Robles. For the ceremony they chose the historical San Miguel Mission, full of old California charm. This mixture of vintage and rustic elements carried over to Vincenta’s choice in hair and makeup, resulting in a show stopping look.

For her hair Vincenta chose a half-up look with a braided crown and loose, beachy waves. If anyone knows anything about me, it’s that I LOVE me a good braided crown! Not only is this a gorgeous look and photographs beautifully from every angel, but the braid stays for days (literally, you can sleep on it and wear it the next day.)

Because Vincenta’s ceremony was in a Catholic church, she chose a sparkly hair vine to wear around the braid accompanied by a flowing veil. We wove the ribbon of the hair vine into her braided crown to unite the look.

For her makeup we kept Vincenta’s skin fresh and dewy. Minimal eyeshadow was used and the focal point on the eyes was a slightly dramatic cat eye. To create Vincenta’s cat eye I used my go-to product, Kat Von D’s Tattoo Eyeliner in Stormtrooper. To finish off the makeup look, we used a deep red lip color that perfectly complemented the burgundy in Vincenta’s overall design.

After her church ceremony, Vincenta switched out the veil for a stunning flower crown. Switching up the ceremony and reception look is always so fun and can be super easy. Just like with Vincenta, try swapping hair accessories or change your lipstick for a whole new look!
